This is a letter from Jane (Jonas) and her husband John T. Williams

With the new year upon us, we are traveling between Milwaukee and San Diego. John and I spent the 2006 holiday season in Milwaukee with family. All of our boys visited us there, Jonas and Luke at Thanksgiving and Ryan and Scott at Christmas. We had hoped to reunite for a Charger Superbowl: but alas that will not happen this year.

Jonas Shaner turned 30 this past March.......can you believe it!!! I can't. He is graduating with his second degree in May 2007. Thus he is well prepared for his career in Nursing with a double major in Biology, Chemistry and a BS in Nursing. He lives here in San Diego nearby and plans to stay. I think he likes the golfing and weather. He took a credited class in surfing! Jonas Shaner won the most coveted Hall of Shame Award at the 48th annual?, Toilet Bowl in 2006. He joins his parents, Kim and Jane as members of this select entourage.

Luke Shaner (29) is living in Minnesota and working as an architect for a small design firm. He seems to like it and often drives his motorcycle to work. He appears to be a talented designer and this work environment affords him much independence and accountablity. He is renovating his first home and has completed all the work himself -- not because he doesnt have any friends, he is just picky about the quality of work! He likes Minneapolis and has many great friends there. Also, he is close to his father's farm in Viroqua, WI.

Ryan Williams (29+) passed the California Bar on his first attempt (we weren't really worried!). He has been working for Luce Forward in San Diego for a few years now. He bought a condo in San Diego and lives with Dana, his partner/girlfriend/SO. He coached a middle school girls basketball team and has hilarious stories to relate. Ryan is a great guy and a wonderful dinner guest! I enjoy having him around.

Scott Williams (27) graduated from UW-Madison and came to San Diego to get a start. He took a job as a door-to-door salesperson and was quite good at it. He moved up to San Francisco a few years ago with that firm and then joined Aerotek. This company matches employees to employers. He seems to be enjoying his job and wants to design a training program within the company. He recently moved into the city, to absorb the lifestyle of cosmopolitan living. He has a small cottage on a property owned by 2 Chinese women, mother and daughter. Very little English is spoken, yet they have taken Scott under their sphere of influence.................dont EVEN ask about the rent and parking fees!!!!

I've sent some photos of JT in Costa Rica and the view from our very rustic casita there.

Also, a pic of myself, when, as President of the local Women's Club, I suited up with the local fireman for a fundraiser.

So you can see that we are all well. It's great to have this forum to stay in touch. Let's keep communicating! If you EVER get to San Diego, let's get together!
