Richard Moede 1943-2014
My apologies for not sharing this sooner, but Richard F.
Moede, 70, ex-husband of Tess Jonas-Moede and son-in-law of Aunt Teresa Jonas,
died Feb. 15.
Richard and Tess’s daughter Erin Bridget posted news of his
passage on Facebook with the following tribute:
“I can't possibly
explain how much I will miss him. I always have been and always will be a
Daddy's girl. Even though we didn't get as much time together as we should've,
I have nothing but fond memories and feel lucky to have had him as my Dad.”
Richard graduated
from Bay View High School, which probably explains how he met Tess. When they
were married, I remember several fond memories of them hosting the annual
summer cousins picnic in the 1980s at their lake home in East Troy.

I first met Rich on a hot summer day maybe 1970. He drove a loooong Cadillac and I don't recall the color cause I was taking in his hot pants! Yeah hot pants! Those were the days! Lots of kids at our house and Terry and I were both getting married, just soon after Jim got back from Vietnam. I know it's HIS-TOR-EE to many of you readers but we were living those days just reaching our 20's. Rich was a quiet guy with lots of cars and tons of tools! He was generous with his home on Potters Lake and we enjoyed some good picnics there. I hadn't seen him in some years. He will be missed by those who knew him and those he loved! Sorry for your loss, Erin.
