It is with great sadness that I report that MaryPat (Jonas) and Michael Groth's son Jared, 23 died. Here's the obituary as reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Jared Jonas Groth passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2008, at the age of 23. Survived by his parents Michael and Mary, brother Jeremy, special friend Krystal, grandparents Urban and Teresa Jonas, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Special thanks to those who cared for and helped Jared throughout his life: the teachers and aides of Cudahy schools, Easter Seals Kind Care at Wil-o-Way Grant Park, Zilber Family Hospice, and St. Luke's PPH/Cardiac Care and 10T.
Visitation was Sun., Feb. 17, 2008, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 3774 E. Underwood Ave., Cudahy.

In a posting around the holidays, his Aunt Jane (Jonas) Williams wrote that Jared "continues to surprise and even delight us all! " Condolences and prayers to the Groth family and all who knew and loved Jared.
