Tragedy at Pat and Jay's Home in Santa Rosa From Wildfires
To All:
You may have been following this family news on Facebook but
for those of you who are NOT on Facebook, I wanted to make you were in the loop,
too. Our cousin, Pat Schield Werth and her husband Jay Werth, lost their home
in Santa Rosa, Calif., to the wildfires that swept through Wine Country earlier
this month. The two of them are safe and have, for now, moved in with their
daughter Megan Werth Rabbaa, her husband Nino and their two daughters, whose
home was spared in the fire.

The photos included in this post are of their return to the
home site just the other day to survey the damage. Wendy Smail traveled to Santa Rosa from Colorado to help out.

I live in San Jose, about 90 miles south of Santa Rosa, and
for several days the skies here were particularly hazy with smoke from the
fires up north.

Words cannot express the sadness we all feel for them for
their loss and for the arduous rebuilding task ahead of them. I’m sure they
will all appreciate your thoughts and prayers for their loss. Please share this
with friends and relatives who may not yet have heard about this through social
media, particularly Aunt Teresa Jonas and Sr. Acquinice.
Sincerely,
Robert Mullins
